WHICH SOLUTION IS THE MOST ECONOMICAL?

When you use a dishwasher compared to washing by hand, you use 2.5 times less energy and 3.5 times less water (about 10L compared to 35L)*.

It also saves time: about 70 hours a year!

To achieve this, remember to use the "eco" mode on your dishwasher whenever possible. It will take longer but can save up to 45% energy per cycle.

Your dishwasher is therefore more ecological and economical than washing by hand.

SHOULD I RINSE MY DISHES BEFORE PUTTING THEM IN THE DISHWASHER?

There is no need to rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Simply remove any scraps of food with some cutlery... this will save you several litres of water!

Plus, when you choose to use the Eurotab compressed powder tablets, you’re also helping the planet because the solid format has many advantages.
So it's more economical and more environment-friendly! Who could ask for more?

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT WASHING PROGRAMS?

There are lots of different programs that may differ from one dishwasher to another.

Here is a list of the main programs:

  • The "cold soak" program is a kind of pre-wash for heavily soiled dishes to prepare them for an optimum wash.
  • The fragile/delicate program (40° to 45°C) is ideal, as the name suggests, for delicate items and glasses.
  • The normal program (50°C to 65°C) is for daily washing of moderately soiled dishes.
  • Intensive wash: (70°C to 75°C) for heavily soiled dishes, such as pots, pans and kitchen utensils.
  • Speedy wash: this can be used for lightly soiled dishes and small quantities. The cycle takes an average of 30 minutes.
  • Half load program: this is useful when the dishwasher is not full, as you can wash up to 6 place settings while saving water and energy.
  • The eco program: ideal for lightly soiled dishes. The pre-wash is not required so you save on water and energy. It is the most economical, but also one of the longest.
  • Delay start option: this feature allows you to start your dishwasher later, during off-peak hours for example, to save energy.

Some dishwashers even have an automatic program that uses a sensor to detect the size of the load and degree of soiling and adjusts the cycle accordingly.

Some appliances also have a steam program to dissolve fat effectively.
